Democratic National Convention

Watched the DNC last night. Loved Lilly Ledbetter, Michelle Obama and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro’s speeches. I didn’t care for the attempts to characterize Republicans as never having struggled to make it in life, or that wealth means you forget about those who need help.

We need unity and agreement, not more derision and slander.

I am not the kind of Republican that the convention is trying to portray. I am open minded, moderate, tolerant, hard working and compassionate. So are many Democrats that I know. We need to work towards bringing us all together as Christian brothers and sisters who care for each other, who fight for opportunities and equality, who give more than we receive and who find joy in each others success. I am that kind of Republican.
