Thursday’s Motorcycle Ride

I just couldn’t get into my home remodeling project.  Slapping more plaster on those walls didn’t appeal to me, so Thursday, I hopped on my Harley and headed out of town.

A friend had told me about a fun trip he’d taken to Blessing, Texas – about 70 miles southwest of Houston.  The Blessing Hotel has a delicious, all you can eat, country style lunch for $8.50.  That was my destination.

Here’s a photo collection of my trip.  All photos are taken with my iPhone 5 and turned to black and white using iPhoto.  The picture of the BBQ shack is my favorite although at the time, I was having a hard time composing the picture in the bright sunlight and couldn’t see the details in the photo.  I didn’t realize exactly what I’d shot I’d taken until I got home.  Funny how we are rewarded for our efforts!

Can you believe it? This was $0.30 cheaper than any gas station around!
