Nancy In Blue

This self-assigned project was designed to advance my Photoshop skills.  I wanted to create a shot that was a bit more graphic in nature and used colors to help evoke the mood.  I wanted to move from a literal photograph toward a more interpretive image. While I’m quite happy with the results, I’m even happier with the big smile I got from Nancy when I showed her the results.

Nancy was so fun to work with on this project.  She  provided the wardrobe and the gorgeous looks.  I clicked the camera.

Photo shoot: Nikon D90. One Broncolor Flash unit with white umbrella. 1 hour

Photoshop: 3-4 hours working mainly with Retouching Techniques, Layer Masks, Filter Gallery and Hue/Saturation levels.
