Temperature Rising

I was challenged to create an image of something very personal – to share one of my passions.  That, in and of itself, is a tough assignment for me because I have so many things that I love. My wife. Music. Dance. Writing. Languages. Travel. Wine. Romance and Love.  It’s hard to pick just one.  They all are essential to me so… I included them all.

My instructions for this assignment included making a LARGE canvas, say, 5 foot square,  to be viewed hanging on a wall.  I had to be careful with the resolution of the images I imported so it could be printed that big.  It has to be about 75% rendered in a painterly finish. There had to be dramatic light. And it had to have one main area of focus.

The main Tango image was shot in a cafe in San Telmo in Argentina.

When I showed the final image to my wife (she’s the blonde, bottom left and top right), she loved it.  That’s better than any grade I could get on the assignment!
