Dwelling on the past or worrying about the future can consume way too much of my time. Staying in the ‘here and now’ keeps me alert and aware of the things that are actually happening in my life right now. My wife. My family and friends. Music. Birds. A smile. A big bite of a juicy peach.
Every once in awhile, its nice to take just 15 minutes and focus on what is going on at this very moment. Take away all the distractions and wasteful time spent on the TV, social media and my phone and just be alert – awake in the moment. Call it meditation. Call it a status check. Call it whatever you’d like.
Just get peaceful, breathe…..and be Right Here Right Now.
