If you get a chance, a most delightful restaurant to try is oPorto in Midtown (Houston), a Portuguese tapas bar. Just walking in and smelling the wood burning oven is good enough but the service and ambiance are fabulous too. Relaxed and laid back. Here’s my most recent recommendations:

QUEIJO DE CABRA (V) … 11
baked goat cheese/ walnuts/ tomato basil

POLVO COM BATATAS (GF) … 16 wood grilled octopus/ mustard seed soffrito/ coriander/ shaak potatoes

LAMB RIBS MEDITERRANEO … 16 smoked/ coriander-fennel crusted/ pomegranate molasses/ white bean & chorizo
