I like taking pictures beyond just the image captured in my camera. It’s part of the creative fun with Photoshop – using my imagination to dream up new ways to present what I see when I do photography. I took the previous post’s image and expanded it into this composition.
I’ve always loved birds, but never really taken time to photograph them. However, the Roseate Spoonbill’s are mating and nesting right now, and there’s an Audubon Society sponsored rookery made specially for photographers near Houston. Its a wonderful little preserve with about 6 very nice viewing platforms along a wooded trail.
So, off I went for my first trek to photograph birds and make some art out of that shoot. After about 2 hours, I had close to 1000 shots. It was so fascinating I just kept shooting away. The High Island Rookery is a real treasure.. and its FREE!
