Commit and Amplify

Commit to a desire or task. Devote everything to it. Take the risk of leaving the comfortable behind and press ahead into the unknown. Train and grow. Then extend, take a step farther than you thought you could go and….extend. Amplify.

I caught this shot back in August at Burning Man. I was fascinated by this woman and her dedication to learning her art. She’d mastered her hoop and had trained for strength, balance and grace. She not only worked it – she fully committed herself to each pose and performance. Just look at her commitment to this – fully extended forward and out away from her core. Risky and probably even dangerous, she made it look like a dance, like she was floating, transitioning seamlessly from one move to the next.

Commit and Amplify. Its a good life lesson too, isn’t it?
